Our annual Pickens Azalea Festival has blossomed in to its 28th year! We have huge crowds and continue to receive widespread publicity, as seen on NBC’s Early Today Show! The cruise-in and concert with dancing in the street Friday evening was applauded as a wonderful event for Pickens. Growth has been incredible – crowd estimates were and over 20,000 people in 2009, 23,000 in 2010 and 22,000 in 2011. Folks like to come to small town festivals and Pickens has one of the best! As we prepare for the 2012 Pickens Azalea Festival, we would like your commitment in assisting the festival committee by becoming a sponsor for this “tourism-driven” economic development event which brings many visitors to our town. Think about what 23,000 plus visitors bring to your bottom line; also think about the pride our festival brings to the community. There are several levels of sponsorship that will enable you to promote your business or organization.
The 28th annual Azalea Festival is scheduled for April 20th & 21st. Friday night continues with the classic car cruise in show. Saturday there will be arts & crafts, entertainment on two stages and food. Over 50 civic and nonprofit organizations raise funds which are returned to our community to support local projects. The Pickens Azalea Festival Committee invites you to help promote Pickens and at the same time enhance your business image by joining the Greater Pickens Chamber of Commerce and the City of Pickens as official festival sponsors.
